Marines Helping Marines

The Marine Corps League’s mission is to promote the interests and preserve the traditions of the U.S. Marine Corps, foster the ideals of Americanism and patriotic volunteerism, strengthen the fraternity among Marines and their families, and provide aid to Marines, FMF Navy personnel, and their widows/orphans, all while supporting community programs like Toys for Tots and youth mentorship.

Engage with and help build our communities

This “Heart of Florida” Marine Corps League Detachment is comprised of dedicated individuals that actively seek ways to positively engage with the communities in which they live and other Veterans. We are a Congressionally Chartered, 501(c)(4) non-profit Veteran Service Organization (VSO).

Be the change you wish to see in the world

Here are just a few examples of how our brothers and sisters are making a difference through meaningful program participation.

Young Marines National Program Participation

The mission of the Young Marines is to positively impact America’s future by providing youth development programs that build character, leadership, and responsible citizens through discipline, community service, and promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle, all while instilling core values like Honor, Courage, and Commitment.

Community Partnerships

The Marine Corps League’s mission involves fostering community, supporting Marines, and promoting American ideals, which often result in local partnerships with other groups such as the Scouts of America and other mission driven organizations to achieve goals like veteran support, youth development, and community service.  All while upholding Marine traditions, focusing on camaraderie, helping fellow Marines/families, and maintaining the legacy of the USMC.

Toys for Tots Program Assistance

The mission of Toys for Tots is to bring the joy of Christmas and a message of hope to economically disadvantaged children by collecting and distributing new toys, books, and other gifts, helping them become responsible citizens and fostering community unity.
